Ichika Usami is a bright, energetic girl with a sweet tooth, thanks to her mother’s talent for baking. When her mom finally comes home after a long trip abroad, Ichika decides to surprise her by making a cake—only for her kitchen to be invaded by Pekorin, a mischievous fairy who looks like a fluffy dog. Together, they manage to bake the perfect dessert, but their celebration is cut short by Gummy, a greedy little imp who tries to snatch the cake’s "kirakiraru," a magical essence that makes sweets bring joy.

At first, Ichika is ready to give up her creation to keep Pekorin safe, but the fairy helps her understand how much love and effort went into it. As the kirakiraru inside the cake glows brighter, it transforms into sparkling accessories that turn Ichika into Cure Whip, a warrior of sweetness. Now, whenever thieves try to steal the happiness hidden in desserts, she stands ready to fight them off, defending the town of Ichigozaka one treat at a time.

Along the way, Ichika discovers she’s not alone in this sugary battle—other girls with the same spark join her, each with their own unique powers. Together, they form a team of Pretty Cures, protecting the magic of sweets and the smiles they bring. What started as a simple cake becomes the beginning of a much sweeter adventure.
